Fantasy Football? Sure, Why Not?

I decided to join a fantasy football league this year. I’ve been involved in a friendly weekly pool for a few years now so this year, I thought I would up my game. I love football. It’s one of the many things I picked up while going to college in the States, along with this crazy accent that I just can’t seem to shake. Anyways, since I know a fair bit about football and I’m a pretty avid fan of The League, I figured it would be easy.

I may have spoken too soon. I’ve only gotten as far as the draft and I’m already sweating (figuratively speaking). There’s only so much you can do to prepare for a draft. I didn’t know this before. I thought I would make my list of picks, as well as my backup picks, and I would end up with a pretty decent team. That didn’t exactly work out for me. Everything just happens so fast and before you know it it’s your pick and all of the players in your queue have magically disappeared. I mean, I have a pretty decent team, but I did end up with 2 starting running backs and a defence who have the same bye week. Yeah, week 8’s going to be fun.

Week 1 is only a few hours away. Check back for future updates on the status of my fantasy football team, and my sanity. Wish me luck!
